“Cheezy” Kelp Noodles(r/v)
Someone needs to let my family know I’ve gone to heaven. OMG, so good, so raw, so deliciously amazing. This was a very successful attempt to re-create the noodles from the restaurant Juliano’s Raw Planetin LA….lucky LA.Yes, for all you GF people, the noodles are just kelp. And lactose-intolerant people, the cheese is made from cashews! Aren’t you really curious what this tastes like?!?

(I found many copies of Raw Planet’s original recipe online, including here. I made some changes to suit my tastes, including cutting out the oil which seemed only to add unnecessary calories.)
2 pkgs Sea Tangle Kelp Noodles Cheezy Kelp Noodles
1/2c nut cheeze (recipe below)
1t fresh rosemary, minced or 1/2t ground rosemary
1/2t sea salt
1T lemon juice
2-3t Bragg’s Liquid Aminos Cheezy Kelp Noodles
4T nutritional yeast Cheezy Kelp Noodles
1/2 tsp. black pepper (optional)

Soak kelp noodles in hot water while preparing “cheezy” sauce. Mix rest of the ingredients in a bowl and then add kelp noodles. Enjoy the fabulous taste of cheese without the detriments of dairy!!

(makes about 2.5c)
2c raw cashews Cheezy Kelp Noodles
1t fresh rosemary, minced or 1/2t ground rosemary
3T lemon juice
1t sea salt
1-1/2 cups water

Blend in your Vitamix or blender into a thick cream. Start with 1 cup of water and add more if needed. If you choose to pre-soak your cashews, you’ll probably need less water.
