Pickled Spicy Indian Cauliflower (v)
The August 2011 issue of VegNews led me to my first venture into pickling! I suppose because the pickling juice is boiled, this doesn’t qualify as raw – but it feels very very close to raw. The process is so easy and the end product is going to be a perfect accent to salads, sandwiches, pretty much anything. This one has a very spicy kick to it due to the garlic, ginger, and Serrano chillies.

Great use of all the glass jars I’ve collected too. I’ve been saving glass jars from bottled grocery items for a while now, not knowing what I was going to do with them but feeling very environmental not throwing them out. Now I may have a new hobby and use for them, pickling! What’s your favorite thing to recycle and reuse?
