Yay, a chocolate a day keeps the sorrows away! Made with a base of walnuts, dates, raw carob and then rolled in either raw cacao or coconut. Which one would you eat first?
Yay, a chocolate a day keeps the sorrows away! Made with a base of walnuts, dates, raw carob and then rolled in either raw cacao or coconut. Which one would you eat first?
Recipe
2c walnuts
2c dates, pitted
1/2c water
1/2c raw carob powder or raw cacao
1/2t salt
(optional) 1t cinnamon
- Place walnuts and dates in a food processor
and process until smooth.
- Then add carob and water and process.
- Shape mixture into small balls and roll in coating of choice.
- Makes ~20 truffles to enjoy!
Suggestions for coatings: raw carob, raw cacao, shredded coconut, finely chopped nuts
